Slippery Elm Tea???

Postby Rachael 1984 » 07 Mar 2013, 05:53

Anybody heard of using slippery Elm Tea?
I have been searching the Internet, and apparently this tea is good for Bowel conditions. It has healing properties too.
Anyone tried it? Amazon sell the powder to make the tea.
I am tempted to order some to help my IBS.
Also eases constipation and softens stools.

Slippery elm is wonderful for the digestive system.I usually mix it witha llittle honey rather than make a tea out of it..not my favourite taste for a tea. I use it also with livestock if they have a gut upset. Works a treat. Xxx

Slippery elm is a wonderful, safe herb. Its highly nutritive and it can regulate your bowels - making them softer when hard and firmer when too loose. Its very non-irritating for people with IBS. Don't take the pills from regular stores. Get the loose powder from a real herb store or online. Tea is better for constipation and packing your own capsules or mixing with honey like PIA is better for diarrhea.
