UPDATE.....
Well, I went to see another crs... The same one who operated on Davo and Andy.
He has advised Botox with fissurectomy. He also said he will have a good look whilst I am under to see what is going on. He was surprised at this stage in the game no one has even looked at me properly under anaesthetic.
I felt happy with his approach.... It makes sense to try this first.
If that tac doesn't work, then advancement flap will be considered.
Do you think it's a sensible way to go???

Hi, so glad you got to see another doctor. You have to go with what you feel comfortable doing.. If you trust this doctor it's worth a try. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you get back to normal too.
I'm scheduled for my anoplasty in 2 weeks. I'm so scared too. All the best Suzy.

owmybum this a very good approach by your doctor and something well worth of trying first.
Is good that he wants to make sure what is going on with your bum before surgery, I think you are going to do well this this new CRS.

OMB, I am so pleased for you, glad that this CRS is taking the right steps to get you sorted out. I think the Botox and the Fissurectomy has high success rates, i know you will have anew wound, but the fissure will be removed!
You have to decide what is best for you, but looking back at old posts from Davo, this CRS knows what he is doing.
Good luck! When does he propose to do it? xx

I don't know how long I will have to wait yet. He said he has to ask my dr first if I can be transferred over to his nhs hospital in London, then I guess I will be on the waiting list there. I hope it's not too long!!
Since my journey to London and back I have developed a nasty swelling... Not sure if its a hem or sentinel pile. It's very painful... I fact it feels worse than the fissure at the moment!! Image
It's always something eh!!!
