Do you think it's possible that Benefiber could be giving me diarrhea? So far I had only increased fiber in my diet, but a few days ago decided maybe my stools are a bit too soft and that one of those powders might make them more formed. I was scared to try Metamucil bc so many of you said it added too much bulk. So I started Benefiber (2 tsp once a day), but I've had diarrhea ever since. My son has a stomach bug, so there's a chance I have a mild form of that too. I just don't know whether to stop the Benefiber. I appreciate any feedback!

Hi, I don't think it causes diarrhea. I know when I first started taking it it made me a little gassy but nothing else and I take 2 tsps. 3 times a day. Adding fiber to your diet is good but add it slowly and try to find the balance that works for you. Hope your son feels better soon. Stomach bugs can be nasty. Take care Suzy.

Yeahh it caused me bad dia myself. Perhaps some people are intolerant to it.
