Not all fissures are easily seen. Even by doctors. Where does the blood come from?
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

Jhh,

The blood is on the tp when I wipe... I have no idea why I have blood... There is nothing visible that is causing this bleeding. I have skin tags from my hemoroidectomy that I had 5 years ago (have never had an issues with them nor bleeding) and a polyp removed 3 weeks ago to rule out any other conditions but the test came back clear. I feel that my bum is not as stretchy as it was and every time I push (not straining) to have a bm it stretches the skin so it bleeds; then feel sore all day afterwards. Today is a very sore day! Are there other conditions that can cause abrasions/ cuts on the skin other than fissures? I have also ruled out an allergic reaction since I have not been using nothing on my butt.
2/14 Fissure developed
3/14 Diagnosed w/ fissure given Nifedipine
4/14 Referred to Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy=Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
5/14 Fissure declared "healed"/chronic anal pain persists
9/5/14 Botox to pelvic floor
9/22 biofeedback
