Past few weeks, I have been debating Botox or LIS and I finally decided to go with Botox as my pain levels (esp burning sensation) seems to be steady about 4-6 hours in the morning and sometimes less than 4 hours. Since I am consistent with my pain levels, I thought I will try this minimally invasive procedure first before LIS. I am hoping Botox cures my fissure. But due to its low success rates, I have to mentally prepare myself for LIS if Botox fails. My concern is, will undergoing Botox now will have any adverse effects later when I have LIS procedure done such as too much scar tissue buildup, lazy (or too relaxed) sphincter muscle, incontinence etc? Any answers will be appreciated. Thanks!
