Anyone sufferes a retear from exercise?

Postby Loomis » 13 May 2014, 16:47

So, my fissure had actually been healing the past week and half by sing nitro and a low fiber diet that had kept my stool small and soft. I hadn't gone for a walk in awhile, and decided to do that today. After walking for about 20 minutes, I got and intense sharp pain in the usual spot, and when I came home there was the familiar blood and mucous discharge associated with a retear. I am so angry right now. Every single web site out there says to do light exercise like walking to help the fissure heal, but going for a long walk just caused a retear. Any of you experienced this?

Loomis,
I'm sorry to hear this. I have my fissure 3 months today, so I guess happy anniversary to me, may it die before the next anniversary. AnywY back to you, walking really shouldn't be the primary cause of a re-tear. Perhaps the walk just triggered something that happened previously.
Have you seen a crs yet? My fissure couldn't heal with either nitro or nifedipine so I had Botox 8 days ago. It just seems some people can't heal on there own. I wish the best and thank you for your advice on lowering my fiber. I'm down to 2 BMS a day, hopefully going to one.
