What is healing time on a retear?

Postby sweetpea » 24 Jun 2014, 18:57

hi all, i think i had a re-tear last night,
i ordered a tush cush and i think it split my butt cheeks too far apart,

i had been doing so well, then suddenly this horrible pain.

at first i thought i was flaring but now i think it was a re-tear as i woke up in pain and have been in pain a lot of today..

Question: if all goes well, best possible, what is approximate healing time?

thanks

I got that same kind of thing when I was getting into my car. You know that sideways butt-shuffle you have to do.
It was bad for a couple of days, but fine after that. Hopefully you will be better soon!
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Still dealing with the fissure. Not sure if I got a retear or just cramps.

Wish i could say i was healed but... i am still struggling to heal this little cut. Had it since April.

It may be time for Botox or surgery if you have not gone down that road. You are entering the chronic stage, the longer you go the harder it may be to heal. Good luck
