I know Rachael, i love you people, not sure i would have survived without you. That lingering thought of the pain coming back would be to much to take if I couldn't type to all of you. Waiting for my Dr. to call and find out if it was healing at all. Of course in my shock at the exam I forgot to ask the simplest question.

Oh Apes, sorry to hear this. The only positive I can see is that you don't seem to be in pain at the moment. I really hope the pain and spasms do not return.

It is a discouraging day as I see that you are not AF free and JBL has re-tore. Stay strong and I am happy to see that you are not in fissure hell pain. Put a plan together to heal as you have the knowledge.

Spoke the Dr. the fissure is healing but not healed. She has back on nifedipine (which didn't work originally) and hopefully the spasms will not come back. If they do i will seriously look into Kenalog before surgery.

Seems like the only doctor to do it, he is in NYC.
As long as I have no major pain I will give mine more time to heal.

Hang in there, Apes! I know all of us want to avoid surgery but at least the option is always there. My husband is always quick to remind me that this pain surely cannot go on forever- one way or another it will heal eventually. Whether that means different types of intervention, then so be it. I'm curious to hear more about the kenalog injection. Thank you for all your support on this forum!

A little update.....
This mornings BM although smooth and painless had the largest streak of blood that I have seen since the beginning of this ordeal. I have had recent days of just spots of blood. Not sure I can really call it a retear, can you retrear something that hasn't healed in the first place??
I have no pain after and feel good. I'm going to take the optimistic view on this one. If I feel good let my ass do what it wants. I will still be ultra careful with my eating habits. I'm on vacation at the New Jersey shore and today's plan is to play golf and ride waves, although a little annoying I can live like this. Maybe one day this thing will totally heal, till then just let it be painless.
