Postby jay2502 » 22 Sep 2014, 14:14

PLEASE HELP!

i have been more frequent on the forum lately asking for advice about doing 'LIS' in the near future.

but the past few days i have been suffering with chronic itching and i dont scratch i just put up with it but its making me bloody miserable, and the whole anal area is getting redder and redder .

what on earth can i do to subside this.
most creams seems to make it worse, i have had to stop the diazetem (spelt it wrong cant concentrate) as its making it worse i feel. :gah:

Could well be the diltiazem. That's exactly what happened to me. Now you've stopped using it, maybe the itch will subside. You could try calmoseptine - that's what my doc recommended, but I didn't need to use it, just stopping the dilt was enough. You can order calmoseptine from your pharmacy or amazon, at least in the US you can - don't know about other places.

Good luck! There's (almost) nothing more wretched than an itch.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
