Anusol

Postby vanessa100 » 30 Mar 2015, 11:32

I thought I would give anusol ointment a try today as it says calms irritation and relieves sore cracked skin, also it says it can be used for fissures on the box. Well I have been in such pain today afte using it. I feel like my bum is on fire. And as I was at work I couldn't wash it out. Has anyone else had this reaction? I have bought some coconut oil to try after my bath.

Hi Vanessa, you may be sensitive or allergic to anusol. It sounds like torture, if you couldn't wash it out.
Coconut oil might help, but be careful. If your bum is already irritated, it might be better to give your skin a rest.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
