just wondering for the people who have been operated on, what did it look like 'down there' after LIS?
any sort of scarring or anything like that? or any lasting issues?

For me it just looked bruised after surgery. I couldn't even see where the incision had been made. I assume if I could not see it the day after surgery I will not notice any scarring later.

My LIS was closed, so I am not sure if the open LIS looks any different.

Before LIS I had one sentinel tag just to the side of the anal opening, and after surgery I had five of them. They were quite large at first, but shrunk over time. My CRS told me that they will be there forever now, but that is a small price to pay for the new and wonderfully pain-free life that I now enjoy. No bruising for me.
