Hey guys, I have had fissure on and off quite sometime. But usually theres no pain , just abit of blood and the pain doesnt last more than 1 min. However last night i think I strained abit too hard during my BM. Its been in pain for more than 15 hours , I went to the doctor and she made a check. She said it will heal by itself and the pain will go away. However is still bleeding every now and then. Is this normal when a new fissure appears?

15 hours of pain ouch! Did she give you anything to help you heal? Like nifedipine?

When I first got my fissure I was in pain 24/7 for about a week, it just went from excruciating to tolerable. Definitely take some stool softeners like Miralax/Restorolax at least until the pain goes, then fix your diet to get stools soft.
