Hello, I had my first experience of an anal fissure in March of 2015. I thought I was dying of cancer or something. I layed and cried in pain. I ended up having the botox injections, didn't help. Then the lateral sphinterotomy. My first week after surgery, no pain whatsoever. I thought, it's a miracle, I'm cured. Then bam, horrible pain, day 3 now of that. Enormous amount of drainage. Sitz baths kill me. I can't stand the water touching my skin. I need some advice at this point. Don't thank I'll ever be the same again.

What sort of pain? Does it feel as if anything is swollen? If you are having an enormous amount of drainage it might be suggestive of an infection. I would definitely make an appointment to see your doctor as soon as you can.
