What to do on Holiday

Postby anyway » 15 Sep 2015, 22:18

I have fissures and roids but am doing a lot better with no spasms, just a bit of pain and a lot of management with toileting etc. I am going on a cruise in a couple of months but last time we went I got very constipated even though I was eating fruit and veges and drinking water. It set me back a long way. I have a routine that works well - or should I say, allows things to work well, including taking Magnesium and a stool softener. I didn't want to change the amount of medicating until things were better but after 10 months of having this and slow progress, I fear I won't be 'better' enough by the cruise. If I increase the magnesium things might get too loose and that can cause problems as well. Does anyone have any hints to survive 'out of routine'.

Hi, it's definitely tricky traveling with these high needs bottoms. What I did when I was away was take an extra magnesium on days when I thought I'd had a bit much white carbs or protein. How reliable do you find your stool softener?
