Cutting Seton?

Postby Dimitri71 » 05 Mar 2018, 08:30

Hi everyone!
I am in the process of deciding next steps and would greatly appreciate anyone's advice.
I have a transphicteric fistula encompassing approximately 30% of external sphincter (a mid level one).
I underwent a FiLac (laser sphicnter saving operation performed in Germany) two times, in October (failed) and recently during February . It seems that the 2nd try has not worked either unfortunately although its too early to tell...

In case it fails though my CRS is suggesting a cutting seton as he knows I would like to end this fistula matter once and for all if possible....

He told me that in the case of the cutting seton, post surgery, there is risk of minor incontinence: A sense of urgency and some weakness on flatulence (gas) incontinence. No major incontinence though...
According to my CRS The cutting seton process should be 10-20 days long.

Does anyone have any similar experience???

Hi, I've had an issue with af and hemmies for a while now and with the usual symptoms heavy blood loss painful bm and so on.
I tried all the usual remedies and omg what a circus.
They just keep on coming back.
I decided to try 100% Pure Pine Oil or 100% pure gum spirits of turpentine.
What can I say it has helped from painful bloody stools to no pain no blood in a week.
I used 2x sugar cubes each with 5 ml Pine Oil. 3 times a week orally. Just drop the Pine Oil onto the cubes and chew them up and swallow. Wash it down with water and thats it.
No diet change and no regimes to follow. How simple and effective.
What I've learnt about the Pine Oil is it is antibacterial antimicrobial and anti inflammatory.
So it should help to ease and control your condition permanently.
If it doesn't at least you can rule it out.
I've been on it for over a month and I feel much better than before when I was not using it.

Thanks Tech7four, I've tried this but it just doesn't work. Sorry to dissapoint you, seems like you have very close emotional ties to this product.
I'd rather go with science: Surgeons and R&D Scientists - It seems like it is helping me a lot.
It is true that with Anal Fistulae, approximately 2000 years ago, people believed that one could cure them with gum spirits and pine oil. In our times, everyone knows they just don't work.

Well when you've tried everything and haven't had any success, and to be told that hemmies and fissures heal by themselves from medial professionals and never experience any relief yourself then you start to look at alternative remedies.
I've suffered long and hard with my issues and have been miserable for a very long time.
I've used pine oil now for over a month and my issues have ceased to be.
Even my external hemmie which I've had for over 10 years has finally dissapeared and all due to pine oil use.
I've had countless debates with medical professionals and have gone down all avenues of conventional treatment and I can tell you from experience what a chore.
Yes I do have an emotional tie to this subject and because of my excellent results with this product I will share my experience with others suffering from similar issues.
If it's not for you then great but don't discourage others just because you'd rather listen to your doctor and let the scientific community try their experimental drugs on you.
I've been there and it never worked for me, sorry.

Well if you saw my thread it has nothing to do with Hemmies and fissures, it's about anal fistula.

Yes I know but I looked into the causes of anal fistula and found:
Anorectal abscess, which can be an incapacitating condition, originates from a cryptoglandular infection in the anal canal.
So Pine Oil will help with the cause of the issue.
But what do I know?
