Thank you Image
well I have good news :D There were no signs of any cancerous cells Image
It is indeed a fissure, very deep and very wide apparently. The surgeon said they really felt for me in there
I never thought I'd be so pleased to have a fissure, but I feel so relieved it isn't anything more sinister Image The 'lump' he thought he could feel in clinic, he thinks is probably muscle where the fissure goes down to
I have a follow up appointment in 1 week to discuss options, but he did say that botox was probably not going to be an option for me. Personally I would like the LIS, to give me a fighting chance with this monster :D
They gave me an injection of pain-killer while I was in surgery, and some local anaesthetic syringes to try for a few days at home :D
Hope you're all doing ok :D

Good News. That is something I like to hear.
I'm jealous that they gave you local anesthetics.
hopefully you wil get your LIS soon--maybe we'll be LIS buddies!

Thanks, you guys are great.
I feel good today, except for the standard sore throat from the breathing tube.
No BM yet, which is worrying me a bit (I'm trying hard not to worry!) They did a stretch as well so maybe that will help :)

Glad you're ok, Helen and there was nothing nasty there-although the fissure is pretty nasty! But better than cancer.
I reckon the first BM will be a breeze, especially if they did a stretch-try not to worry!
