Exercise

Postby hurtinend » 08 Jul 2015, 19:49

Well dumb me was feeling okay with progress from pain over several weeks.

Normally I walk home from work, 35 mins, all good. Yesterday walked home and decided to do an additional workout on the stairclimber with some elliptical work as well, all good......until I had a shower and started dinner, weird pain down there, things, flesh? roids? Moving and wiggling, deep deep ache, throb, etc.....

Slept and woke up with the same pain and continues through today, done with this my frustration is beyond, don't know what to do anymore.

Am I nuts, I think not.

YES! what is all that wiggling sensation? I used to get that..........
Sorry you are hurting so badly. Hopefully it will all settle down in a day or so. Take it easy - you are going to be fragile for a while.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Yes, I have moments where I stop and shout "really?"

This cycle of up and down seems never ending, something was literally moving and wiggling down there, talking to me no shouting I guess it needed attention, I don't think I'm crazy maintained a high stress career for years with this hanger on, but lately, don't get me started I could write my own Merck Manual, so frustrated.

I'm so sorry. I have been there too. When you feel good you want to do things and get excited about getting back to 'normal' and then WHAM! I was told yesterday that I am healed. I have suspected that my incision site was mostly healed but yup, I still get the friggin wigglin too! I have had it for years really (butt pain on and off since my hemmies surgery over 10 years ago). I really think it's nerves and being supersensitized down there from being in so much pain. Now I get to start physio back there and that will open up another can of worms I am sure. Kind of scared what I'm going to find (the wigglers that is. lol).

Be kind to yourself. I hope you feel better again real soon.

This condition is impossible to predict, the wiggling, so bizarre, I shift from irritation on the outside, the deep throb, ache inside.

msimon what type of physio are you getting?

I want us all cured, I will do whatever it takes.

"I shift from irritation on the outside, the deep throb, ache inside." Me Too!

I have been going weekly to a pelvic floor clinic for physio for about 5 months now. It is offered by a Women's health clinic. A lot of my pain comes from these muscles (I know it because when the physio gets them to release it feels really good, until I have a BM). It has been like this for years. I had a pretty good handle on it after getting botox in them for several years but after I got the fissure it got worse than ever. My physio does trigger point release (trigger points are knots in muscle). Many on here have had such issues and it has been discussed from time to time. I wonder if perhaps some of your pain is coming from the pelvic floor too.
