I've had an accident earlier on, I messed one of my pads, it was uncontrollable, I kinda bent over and out it came  I'm also having a bit of pain now and finding cleaning the anus quite difficult, I had a bit of BM but cleaning was extra tricky, the more I dabbed the more fecal matter there seemed to be and a bit of bloody discharge too, my bowels are definitely acting up, I'm usually regular as clock work!
I haven't plucked up enough courage to have a look in the mirror yet but really need to see how I can clean the anus, the shower head is ok but I'm a bit worried about putting it too close and causing some damage, also had several sitz baths but the main issue at the moment is cleanliness and I'm definitely leaking a bit now and then, I feel like I'm gonna poop my pants at any moment, and NG, like you I'm getting pinching feelings and it's also stinging quite a bit, hopefully things will get better over the next few days.

Thanks fire, I'm staying positive!
After a night of pain that can only be described as spasms I'm having a bit less pain now, my gauze pad wasn't stained this morning either so I haven't seeped, I still haven't had what I would call a proper BM though, had the urge but only a little bit has come out and once again I found it rather difficult to clean the area, I've been using a bowl of luke warm water and some cotton wool balls and dabbed the anus as best I can, then I had a sitz bath and dried my butt with the hair dryer, my butt is having some really funny feelings as well, don't know if this is normal, it's like I'm gonna poop at any moment and as though the muscles are moving/contracting, it's not really painful just annoying as I can't decide if I need the potty or not!

Steve,
You sound a bit more upbeat. I'll try to send you healing vibs and thoughts while on the golf course (again) this morning participating in my golf league. Thinking about you and the others here with butt issues will help me deal with my competitors who sometimes get on my nerves!! Image

Steve,
Love your "mood"! I've got some stiff competition from others that are much larger than me. One gal probably weighs about 180-200 pounds and can hit the ball 200 yards (a long way)!! A few (including her) are former softball players and very athletic. That is what I am up against!!!!! I've really never done much with sports, except for golf!!

Good luck cheryl, not that you need it, use your positive thinking and you'll go a long way, but hey, you already know this.

Thanks, Steve. I'm getting ready to go hit my practice (wiffle) balls in preparation for today (and will practice my putting). I hope you have a good day today with your butt!! My mum and I will be leaving midday to spend the weekend with my older son who is in pharm school about 2 1/2 hours away from our town. He's currently participating in a "teaching" internship for 5 weeks. Fortunately, a couple from his church down there are giving him free room and board for the entire time. I'm taking along a couple of surprises for them--our homemade orange marmalade and our homemade tomato jam. And I bought them a little something for their home. I've talked to the female host on the phone. She has digestive issues also!!

Ok so I still haven't plucked up enough courage to look at my anus in the mirror so I decided to let my wife take a look Image to her (and my) amazement there were NO stitches visible on the outside, however, my wife said there was a big black bruise there which would explain the pain I keep experiencing, anyway I'm now wondering how LIS was performed since no stitches are on the outside?

My understanding is that the LIS procedure is done on the muscle of the anal sphincter, which is quite a ways up into the anal canal. I don't think you would ever be able to see any stitches up there, unless you were in there with a light and an anuscope.
