I am calling the surgeon tomorrow and going through with it, I hope it does not cause more leakage.

Going on 26 November 2015 and if this does not solve the issue then I don't know. I just want to be normal :groan:

Surgery seems to be successful, my pain has gone but leaking puss I believe, does anyone know for how long. Apparently I had a prolapsed rectal that the doc sorted out. He did not use stiche but left it open and raw. I have a crater hole

Not sure is this the moves topic or not, so I went for the op, it was a prolapsed fissure surgery, all my pain is gone. The op was 26 November I now only use gauge to block the slight smelly brown and yellow leakage. Sometimes fishy smell or times feces smell. I am more happy just worried about this drainage does anyone know how long this lasts? Any tips on to prevent this ?

Thank you guys and girls for the help

Thank you all for your input I am 10 days post fistula surgery and feeling uncomfortable but not in pain enough for meds after the third day. I also have myasthenia gravis which gives me fecal leakage, so the doctor has me pack in with cotton balls now after a week to stop the leakage. The leakage does not seem to be bad but cannot get comfortable sitting standing but from what I'm reading it's going to take a couple weeks if I'm correct. I do the sitz bath but has anybody used Epson salt with them to aid in healing?

Still healing. It’s possible that they did not get everything out (continued drainage) so I continue to shower or bathe twice a day. I have gotten back in to yoga, hiking and some lifting just went to Havasupai Falls but did not submerge my butt in the water. No mtbing yet but that’s ok. Working full time.

Just keeping my diet on point. No pain.
