Are you seeing a general physician or a colorectal specialist? Either way, ask about getting prescribed nifedipine, nitroglycerin or diltiazem. The correct concentration for each one is different. Also ask about muscle relaxant suppositories if appropriate for your case. Definitely don't take any steroid creams because those thin the tissues and make healing harder. If you would like to be referred to a surgeon for possible surgery then ask about that too. Good luck and take care!
