I don't know if you have internet access where you are right now, but if you do I just wanted to wish you good luck with your surgery tomorrow - it'll go wonderfully (well ... as wonderfully as such surgery can go!)
Let us know how you are when you can. I'm sending many healing vibes your way! Image

Absolutely.
We're all with you Elphie and wishing you all the best.
If there is any reward for selflessly helping others and having the right mental attitude, then your surgery will go wonderfully - exactly as you deserve.

Thanks you guys, I will be so glad when it's over, today I'm living on jello and 7-up so hopefully the morning will not b too bad. I don't know what I would do without you! My husband is getting super stressed in anticipation so I have to keep calming him down! He keeps thinking of things I should be doing "just in case". Just in case what I say! In case it all goes wrong he says and I have to stay in the hospital. I told him to spend some time today reading surgery posts on the forum so he'll realize it's not a quadruple bypass or anything! I think I will be theleast of his worries...he's taking care of the kids and everything else while I recover...I think the kids are gearing up for it lol! I'm actually looking forward to a different kind of pain, I just want the burning to stop! I'll try to post tomorrow, I won't even know my op time until they call between 5 and 8 tonight so I'm in limbo as far as arrangments go. I know we have some fresh LISers this week, I hope you are all on the path to healing and to future LISers; hope you're having a good butt day! Thanks again for the good wishes, I helps to know I'm not alone I feel like I got peoe in my corner!

Too funny, Elphie - our husbands sound so similar. Whenever I cry, my hubby wants to rush me to the hospital and demand that the doctors fix me right away. If he can't rush me to the hospital, he runs around cleaning the house! He got most of the spring cleaning done in one afternooon when I was having a particularly bad day. He also plans everything in incredible detail. Poor guy ... he just feels so helpless. I suspect that's what your hubby's doing too - he loves you so much that he feels the need to try to control what happens to you, and the only way he can do that is by planning for everything. Men are strange and wonderful creatures! I'm so glad he'll be able to look after your kids while you recover.
I completely understand your desire for at least a different kind of pain - the burning ass is truly something else! But I'm pretty sure that your new pain will be a lot easier to deal with and will not last very long at all.
You do have lots of people in your corner - we'll be waiting to hear from you with big hugs!

Thanks alpine, I just got my call, my surgery is at 2:15 but I have to be there by noon. I'm sure I'll b nervous tomorrow but today I've kept busy. It's a balmy 22 degrees outside so my three yr old played in the sandbox all afternoon with her cousin who is also three... And I don't have to bath her! Anyway soon I'll have to hide the bread because I'm getting hungry and I'm a little stressed about not taking my miralax! Oh well after all this time this should be a breeze. I'm glad u r doing well it's very encouraging. I can't wait to tell u all how easy it was!

Good luck, Elphie!! Thinking of you and best wishes for a speedy and smooth recovery. I am just one day ahead of you with getting LIS and am rooting for you. The procedure will go very quickly. All has gone pretty well for me so far. Here's to our new life with new butts!
