Had my appointment

Postby Lsfb1989 » 31 Jan 2017, 16:27

Saw the CRS today, he was surprised by the fissure being anterior. Said he wanted to try diltiazem for 6 weeks, have a sigmoidoscopy and come back in 3 months. Given that I am 27, he really doesnt want to do surgery, but will try Botox at the next appt if no good.

Worse part is, him looking with the scope has made me really sore :(

Hello, LSFB,

Anterior is around 10% in women and 1% in men (as far as I remember), so not so common. I guess that's why he was surprised. The normal process is diltiazem, botox, and then surgery. Hopefully you will heal up with diltiazem. The younger you are normally the faster you will heal so you have a good chance with diltiazem if you got it soon enough.

Good luck, LemonMan
