Just had my first appointment with a general surgeon yesterday and it looks like my fissure is healing. I haven't had any pain or blood for 1week now and this is the first time in 6 months. I would like to say thanks to this forum as all the help on here has helped me to do this. I am now using movicol and I must say it gives me the best BM's I have ever heard. Don't have a clue why the doctor hadn't recommend this. Now I can have a BM without all my planning. ( routine was use my instillagel, take 2 iburophen, wait 5mins do BM, have a bath and then sit on a hot water bottle for the rest of the day) just to keep the pain at bay. I know it's only been a week but this feels amazing and I'm going to make sure it stays like this. Have a check up in 6 weeks to see if it's healed and if not he wants to take about other methods ( I'm not interested in the surgery. As the risk of incontinence is not what a 27 year old wants) He also said I can have a new cream if I need it but as it's healing with me doing what I am doing he said only get it if I really need it. I need to have a colonoscopy so that's why I need the fissure healed as he said it will be too sore to do that with a bad fissure. So here's hoping it stays this way!!!
