I am 6 week post-op laid open fistulotomy- so wound across anus from inside to outside. Outside is ok, but across the sphincter muscle is still open and painful. I am doing baths, stool control etc. But CRS said if not better in a few weeks he wants to discuss surgical options. Note: I already had a scar there from a fistula 25 years ago... Anyone had trouble healing this last bit? I don't know whether it is a true fissure or a just final healing that takes longer. My CRS scares me all the time and then tells me I am a worrier....

Hello again- can someone offer advice on the scarring/healing process of the fistulotomy over the sphincter muscle at straight up 12:00?
I don't have bleeding or spasms so I don't quite know why crs would mention botox or LIS- but I need to be more informed. Has anyone experienced this?
I don't want to hijack other's posts! But would love some guidance!
