I'm just healing from my fistulotomy surgery 3 months post op and now I feel a stubborn hemorrhoid that has developed.

Feels like a firm round tender bulge about the size of a pencil eraser head.

Feels like it runs from the anal canal just outside the opening.

It'a sore and tender all day long ocassionally stinging and makes walking and sitting uncomfortable.

At 47 I guess this is when most people start experiencing symptoms but this is the worst I've ever felt

I've read and been told these go away or just settle down but how long can it take?

Any tips and suggestions that can help please?
