Hi guys,

So happy to have found this forum. Since July last year I'm having AF, with some weeks of relief I generally am in pain everyday.
Allbran for breakfast, lots of water and coconut oil as well as sour cucumbers and saurekraut keep me going soft ;)
Though i still didn't find a good way to heal myself entirely...
I use camomile sitting bath, and special ointment with boric acid to stop the infection around the AF. I need to take also Salicylamid pills to make sure internally i also don't develop too much infections...plus meditation and positive attitude.
It's a hard-knock life but I hope we can help each other:):)

Hi Soyellow,
Welcome to the forum - thanks for introducing yourself.
If your stools are soft, that is a very good start, but some people need more than that. Have you seen a doctor?
Are you using any prescription medication on your anus, such as nitroglycerol, nifedipine or diltiazem? I found nitroglycerine to be very helpful. I now consider myself cured - I have not had any pain for 4 months, and before that only occasional pain for over a year.
Good luck, and please ask all the questions you want to.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
