Pardon me if I asked this question elsewhere, not sure if I did.

I had an abscess rupture on Feb 19th. Thought it was hemorrhoids and let it go.

March 21st had it additionally lanced, which lanced opening healed after two weeks. Abscess was not packed as I was told it was superficial and just under the skin, not deep.

Subsequently I had two fistula openings close to each other that were draining pus.

On May 18th I went in for EUA and woke 45 minutes later being told the surgeon performed a fistulotomy. The two fistula tracks were low, superficial, and very close to the anus (1/2" away) and both were coming from one common internal opening. The could not be packed. The surgeon lanced the abscess at the opening of one of the fistula tracks so as of today, two weeks later, I can still see that puss is slightly draining from it.

So now it's going past 3 months. I have two fistula wounds that are slowly healing and a small skin abscess that is still draining.

Anyone have an idea how long this can continue to run before it heals?
