I'm home

Postby buttgirl » 13 Mar 2008, 13:01

Hi everyone,
I'm home. surgery was quick and due to my weird tolerance of anesthesia, I was sent home within a couple of hours. I got some fentanyl in the hospital and took a vicoden. I haven't been in any pain, and actually feel quite well.
thanks everyone for your support while I have been going through this. It means a lot. I went in calm and I'm sure that is due to you all.

That is so good to hear, Chris, but you get plenty of rest, you hear?
it is funny about the "calm" you describe, I was like that for mine, and I recall Lecia and others saying the same thing. you'd think we'd all be in a panic!
Good show!!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Image
Chris is back !!!!!!! Oh my God, I am so happy for you Image ! !!!
I told you its a peace of cake comparing to all that we had to go through with fissure and all the crap that goes with her Image !!!!
Just take it easy and all will be fine! Don't be afraid of first BM - you will feel just dull pain on the incision side , more like sore muscle pain that you get after a lot of exercise in the legs and such ! I was really surprised pleasantly
when I went to the bathroom and I hope it will be same with you Image
Keep us posted as much as you can Image !!! I wish you record time recovery !!!
Lots of love,
Fissy Image

Get plenty of rest! And like Fis said, the first BM isnt that bad, its the thought of it thats the worst! Once thats over, its plain sailing!

Hi everyone,
thanks!!
You were right. First bm, no problem. i took 3 iburpofen 1/2 hour before bm, so the only complication was a bit of bleeding at the incision site. that stopped pretty quickly. But frankly, I haven't had such a pleasant bm in months!! amazing!! (knock on wood) I hope this continues.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, no hemieectomy. the dr thought that it was not too bad and any remooval would just complicate the healing process. after this is all over, he thinks it will resolve or bother me so little that I'll never go back and complain about it.
Again, thanks for all your support. You guys are great!!!
