Hi I’m wondering if anyone knows if the Kenalog Protocol procedure is offered anywhere outside the USA and by DR Feingold? I’m in Australia and would really like to have this procedure as it seems to be the only one that is non destructive on the anal sphincter muscle and hence won’t cause incontinence.

Hi Lesleo! I've heard about this procedure but I don't think it has had enough success for it to become widely used. I was terrified of LIS for the same reason but I think incontinence is extremely rare. My CRS hasn't ever had a patient with permanent incontinence and I can't find anyone on this forum reporting it either... There is always a risk but I think with an experienced CRS, the risk factor is almost zero. Hope that helps in some way!
