I wish you all a happy holiday, and hope you are not in too much pain to enjoy it!

- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

Disabling burning, drilling pain in anal area for almost a year, started after UT infection. Small anal fissure diagnosed, turned out it is probably not the cause of pain, MRI shows no inflammation or fistula. Grateful to forum members for support.

Nitro
Internal flap July 14
EUA and polyps removed Nov 14
Diagnosed with neuropathy Jan 15
Diagnosed with HS EDS type 3 (causes poor wound healing )

Nitro- Effective short term
April 2013-Botox-Effective short term
Diltazem-No effect, developed Rash
July 2014-Diagnosed High Resting Pressure
LIS performed on 17.9.14
Ongoing pain/re-tears. Awaiting pressure test results.

Sorry not been around so much lately because of the pre-festive preparations and ongoing computer issues!! Eek....but been thinking of you all and those that might have suddenly become afflicted with fissure issues over the Xmas period...
Yay! My lovely partner bought me a new laptop for Xmas so once that's fully functional, hoping to be back real soon to catch up :)
Hope everyone is OK and making the most of the Xmas rest period and sending all my very best wishes to everyone for renewed strength and improved health in 2014..............

Anal Fistula followed burst abscess in June 2012
2 internal troublesome piles remain & suspected, but undiagnosed, ongoing Levator Ani type symptoms & flare-ups
