My fissure and LIS post op experience

Postby pmb5263 » 09 Mar 2022, 13:12

Hey all,

I just got my LIS and hemorrhoid banding done.

Bumped into some constipation post surgery taking a lot of pain killers and not keeping myself hydrated.

Besides sitz baths, how long should I give my healing to take. One out of the 4 hemorrhoids has not healed (got my surgery last week) and the doc has already suggested doing another open surgery.

Also I wanted to ask if anyone here tried drinking pea protein as it’s a very soluble protein form? Sadly my gym routine has come to an end as I figure my new diet.

Hoping you all are recovering well .

If it's so soon after surgery I would give it more time to heal. There are members on here who have taken weeks to be pain free.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy
