I don't know if I get spasms I have hours of tight pain and it is super tight down there is that the sphincter in spasm? It can feel like a constant sharp feeling but i think that's the fissure being squeezed by the sphincter I do get the odd knife up the bum feeling randomly after a bm and sometimes I get pain in my bum cheeks too I get sharp twitches after bms sometimes it's not a constant spasm feeling like painful jerking or anything like that

You are probably getting the milder of the spasms Hun as the full on ones are beyond bearing.....I have had pain but I describe the worst of the spasms as soul destroying agony.
I had a flare yesterday and had the feelings you are describing for about 6 hours. But I could carry on and sleep through it with full on spasms sleeping is impossible

Ok so maybe it's more my skin tag that's causing pain when it's bad it's really bad it swells up bigger then a pea an is red an I can't bearly touch it i feel like it's going to pop with the sharp pressure it gives off I can't sit stand or lay down then it's bad. Maybe I don't need lis?And I rang a private crs today they saida sphincter tone test isn't a normal part of the consultation it cost extra normally the specialist will check the pressure during an exam I guess just a finger test

My last CRS just did the finger test and he got the same as the actual test. An experienced CRS will have the knowledge to know just by feeling others won't especially if the patient is nervous and is tensing like mad anyway.
There is no reason you can't have LIS even with just a little higher than Normal pressure. Some people have LIS privately with normal pressure it's all down to your surgeon and yourself.
Skin tags can hurt I have two marble sized one that are quite painful when I have a flare

Yes Hun LIS is still the most successful treatment for fissures. In some cases tough people still get fissure after LIS they just don't get the agonising spasms.
