Phoenix mom

Postby Phoenixmom » 15 Feb 2020, 18:39

I was a lurker for several weeks. After the birth of my daughter I had postpartum hypertension and put on two different meds. Got constipated and ended up with thrombosed hemorrhoids. The first one ruptured.
Then I got another thrombosed along with anal fissure. I waited too long to go in and could let sit, stand, nothing. I was screaming even as the doctor tried to put the numbing gel on. Got a hemorrhoidectomy. Worse then childbirth.
Went to the follow up and had another thrombosed so had to go through another hemorrhoidectomy.
I followed this board and tried a lot of the advice. My daughter got a cold a few weeks ago and we started using a humidifier. I think it made a big difference in my recovery. I’m in Phoenix where it is really dry-I drink a lot of water and chicken broth but I can feel a difference if I don’t use the humidifier.
I’m going in for ‘mini colonoscopy’ (can’t remember what it’s called) on Tuesday.
