Hi everyone I had a sphincterotomy three weeks ago. I went for my follow up last week and the crs said everything is healing.
I'm still pretty sore, exp after BM. What was everyone's recovery like? How long did it take to recover?

Still sore :/ will be 7 weeks post surgery this Friday. Mostly just sore after BM. The doctor also told me he removed some hemmroids while he was doing the surgery, so that can contribute to some of the pain.

Hi harper that explains the soreness after the bm. Hopefully you feel better and normal on the coming days!
Im 1 day shy 3 weeks post lis. Feeling sore also after bm. I take ibuprofen to cope with the burning pain after bm. Noticed small tweaks of spasm here and there during the day. Hopeful for the coming days to be totally pain free.

How's everyone healing? I'm three months out and still in pain... the throbbing is the worst!

Hi I'm 18 weeks post op and I'm ok as long as I only have one BM a day anymore than that and the burning and throbbing start. Not ideal but so much better than before the LIS

Im on my third week and I only feel a slight discomfort after a BM. Just keep them smooth and you shouldnt suffer too much.
