In summary....

Treat it seriously from day one
Soft and regular stools are worth all the medicine in the world. I tried EVERYTHING bar surgery, and none of it worked. The only thing that made a difference was soft and regular stools...
Prunes, kiiwis and magnesium tablets, the only thing that worked for me
Squeeze hard on first BM - the first one is the plug and it needs breaking down. I tried other techniques, but this is what worked for me...
Keep a pain diary, when you get better you have proof progress, you are in control.
