Anyone get this?

Postby msimon » 12 Nov 2014, 17:33

I had a break from this for a while but it's back. Consequently coinciding with a retear. I can hardy get my BM out (I guess due to spasm) and so I constantly feel something up there which at times will be urgy but of course it's locked down there and must stay where it is...just have that high-pressure squeezing feeling up there alternating with an urge to go. Arg! Drives me crazy. Wish I could just get it out and get some relief. I am so worried that LIS would make this worse. But things have gotten Sooooo bad I don't know what else I can do :(

So sorry to hear this msimon!
When I had the terrible spasms and had to go for a BM, I used the finger pressure point. It helps the poop come out somehow! And it doesns hurt as much. I still use that trick, even after I'm 'healed'.
Good luck <3

I don't think I have ever had this. Sounds miserable. Sorry I can't offer any advice. Hope this goes away soon for you.

The finger pressure point; When you have to go for a bm, sit up straight on the toilet, then use two fingers pressing the area between your tailbone and anus. Your stools should take a different 'turn' and not irritate the fissure as much. This has helpes me ALOT! Without this trick, I doubt my fissures would have healed..

Yes, there is quite a lot of discussion about this in parts of the forum. There is even a special toilet seat that pushes on that area for you. I'll see if I can find a link.

I use the finger techique if I'm having a problem BM.
Squatting is supposed to help also, but I found that the BM was under a lot of pressure that way - it helped it to come out, but all the speed and pressure ended up doing damage.

Good luck, msimon, I hope you get through this!
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
