Does anyone here have SEVERAL fissures?

Postby jay2502 » 20 Jan 2015, 12:44

and are all tears in the skin called fissures?

i have one which keeps coming and going between the cheeks about a cm above the anal opening, it feels like a 'dent' in the skin, its very painful when sitting in certain positions or touching it, but luckily as its not on the anus as such, it doesnt hurt when having a bowl movement.
however i also have several very small tears all around and on the anus. are these fissures aswell?
i ask because even though i have been back and forth to the hospital about 10 times, each CRS cant seem to make up there mind what it is.
i even got told once i had 'sore bottom syndrome' i literally wanted to punch him square in the face when he said that

i am going private soon as i have the money, i am just wondering if anyone else has 'multiple' tears. i see alot of talk about having a 'fissure', but not fissures.

I have one acute fissure at 12:00 and my chronic fissure is at 6:00 but sometimes I tear in other places, it's all fun and games...
Suffering since June 2013

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21

Yes . about 10 times with about 4 different ones. Its been a long exhausting process with no real outcome. Each one telling me I have something different.
Im going to pay to go privately and see the head CRS at my hospital. I'm already under his team from the GP referal but apparently on the NHS u cant just request who you see you go to who your given.
Which has meant me seeing different people who don't know the back story and who give me different diagnoses.

I was considering the LIS surgery but this forum has put me off it. So I will see what the surgeon says when I do go private.

I'm not in agony, but I am in enough pain for it to interfere with my life..and confidence!

Do let me know what your CRS says when the time comes.
