I'm not currently on anything though have been previously, but I deal with an anxiety condition. My issues always seem worse when I am going through a rough patch... which is currently. I have hunted for research on fissures or other issues along with anxiety/depression but don't see any direct studies. I truly believe there is a correlation and causation. I think when you are anxious all the time you are tight and do not allow the sphincter to relax as it should, limiting blood flow. :)
Also curious what others think? I feel like not understanding what causes all of this makes it worse.

I take a very low dose of Lorazapam, and it helped me to sleep when I was in agony. I was a bit depressed, but not anxious in particular. Also, I knew exactly why I was depressed - pain in the arse!!! - so knew once that was under control that sometimes sensation would leave me.
