I have no idea how to use it, honestly. I guess I would apply it to the affected area. Since tinactin is basically an anti-fungal, I also figure that almost any other anti-fungal would work as well, including Monistat and Clotrimazole. So if you have some of that lying around, you cold start with that. I mentioned Tinactin because it is all over Jack's AF self-help board.

Chris. Its been about a week now. I was having problems with major stinging and itching along with pain after BMs. It was like my bum was on fire!! The stinging and itching has completly gone and the pain has definatly improved. I was in agony before, now its bearable. I am still in quite a bit of pain tho, so it has not cured me or anything. But Im going to keep using it until I get sensitive to it which usually happens to me when I use something for to long.
I use a pea size amount twice a day. Morning and Night. I will keep you updated.

That's good to hear. I might try it too, since I am having problems with the major burning/stinging since being on the antibiotics. It's not a localized burning stinging either--I can't feel the cut, my whole anus just stings.

rose - do you put it inside, or just rub it on externally?

After my desperation over the pain crying and depressed I went and bought the tinactin. I was cautious the first time and applied with a Qtip not too deep and in the outside. Let me tell you that immediately I felt relieved and a cooling sensation. It has been 3 days and I feel 80% better. It's working!!!! I apply generously with a Qtip inside the canal and on the hard to reach areas slowly, at least 3 times a day or after a BM. I figured so far it's the only thing it has worked for me. Please give it try!!! I am going to see a doctor in two weeks because I only wanted to see a female Dr. Hopefully she'll tell me I am completely healed. I will keep updating my situation.

Update after using Tinactin after 10 days. Today I had my app with a doctor to finally take a look. I explained my symptoms and told her that I was using tinactin because I searched online that people were getting better good results and so as myself. She took a look inside the rectum and said that it was probably a fissure and now looks just irritated but fine She said to me you don't have fungus to be using Tinactin and gave me calmoseptime an over the counter ointment plus citmal powder fiber (otc). I immediately applied the cream and it was burning like hell. 20 minutes later I put tinactin and back to heaven. This is my experience. I don't know what to tell you. Tinactin worksss. F**k doctors!!!
