Seems to be a very important muscle in the role of pelvic pain. I am going to print this article out and show it to my pain specialist when I see him early in June.

I have been going to a great physio and she has been working on this muscle for me. It's one of my worst. She said she has almost never seen it not be bad in someone coming in with pelvic pain. I used to get botox into it but I don't think I want to do that anymore as I could hardly walk for months after and ended up with terrible pain in my other hip muscles and low back. Hopefully trigger point injections and physio will be enough.

Are you doing any self massage with a therawand to try to break up the spasm cycle?

I do have a 'dildo' I use to work on it and also my Husband releases trigger points with his fingers. The physio makes the most progress though as the bands of muscle are so tight I would never be able to hold it that long. How about you? How are things going for you and what works best for you?
