14 Months post LIS - retear

Postby sotiredofthis » 30 Jun 2015, 16:08

I had my LIS in April 2014 after suffering with this stupid fissure for 1 1/2 years. Then another surgery in October 2014 due to constant burning at the incision site. My CRS said in October that my fissure and incision site were both healed. The October surgery was basically an EUA with some steroid shots in my muscle near the incision site as the muscle looked kind of bound up. I also had developed a weird skin tag at the incision site and got that removed. That helped with the pain but I've still had the burning.

Yesterday morning I had a little bigger/dryer bm than usual and felt a retear at the fissure site! I just want to cry! :( I feel so defeated. :verysad: I really thought I had this thing beat since it's been 14 months since LIS!!! I'm back on the nitro and have a call in to my CRS office to see what to do now. At my last surgery she said I have a very small muscle and would not be a candidate for any other LIS in the future.

Seriously, this is the worst thing ever!!!! When will I have my life back!!!!!?????? :dunno:

I'm so sorry to hear this, I have not had LIS yet so I cannot directly relate.

I can relate to the frustration you must be feeling. We work so hard to fix this mysterious and soul tiring condition. Without LIS I have experienced tearing, healing tearing healing cycles, oh so maddening.

Do not give up, with the tools provided here on this site you can manage this, get back to your CRS and let us know how it goes
