Post surgery healing time?

Postby Jon34 » 28 Oct 2015, 17:35

Hello all,

I had fisture surgery about 6 weeks ago. Everything was great at first, but over the last two weeks I've noticed much more "leaking" of fluids, intense pain & lots of bleeding for hours after BM's.
Is this normal???
I'm scheduled for removal surgery Dec 11th at this time but...can't get the doctors office to call me back to let me know if the leaking and bleeding is normal at this stage.

Would love some "inside" information! Lol

Thanks!

Jon

Sorry you're in pain. You should not have intense pain, though residual pain can linger after fissure surgery. If you are not happy, and the doctor will not call you back, I suggest seeing another doctor. Also if you are bleeding more than pink blood (darker) then go to the ER and tell them.

What are you having removed on the 11th December?

If you are in the US, you can get the records from your surgery so that you can see exactly what they did.
