Ive noted some itching/irritation surrounding the anal canal.

I have been using sitz on and off

coconut oil

cleaning with water after a bowel movement then leaving to dry naturally

sitting on a hot water bottle

Could any of this be causing the irritation?

I cant see anything but it feels itchy/sore like an ezema feeling

Any advise/thoughts appreciated

Maybe too much moisture? I would try drying the area really thoroughly. I just carefully pat dry with tissues or use a gentle hair dryer after showers to make sure it's very dry.

I have had some pretty bad irritation. Used all the things you have. I bought some diaper rash ointment, Peneten, it helped a lot.

Thanks- I have left it for a day and not used anything-giving my poor bum a rest and everything calmed down. thankyou so much for all your advise-really appreciated.

You may be allergic to coconut oil. I was and used Vaseline, but only on the outside.
