Long road but here we are .

Had latest innovative surgery few days ago ,
Vaaft btw is called fistuloscopy in UK .

Procedure , general anasthesia fistuloscopy scope I served through fistula openi vs located
Tract cauterised and flushed debrided and flushed again before permacol paste is Injected.
I eternal opening sutured shut external opening left open .

Told to expect oozing of paste , entire lot of paste oozed out by 3rd day afaik and it reeks btw
Like boiled tripe .

No dressings , no wound packs , no aftercare whatsoever and no instructions on care except
Take it easy no lifting or excorcise .

That's it for 4weeks .

So far still oozing lime goo feels tight swollen bit tender ,
Does not feel like it has worked , paste fell out really quickly
And I had high fever days after surgery .

Permacol is a cross linked collagen paste porcine .

Can't sit , feel unwell still .

Quick google of permacol throws up many concerns , to quote one medic in usa " seems brittish surgeons leaned how to polish a turd "

Similar permacol implants resulted in any lawsuits .

I had no idea I was häving this product i was told paste which i assure meant fibrin ,
In fact up until 40 mins before surgery I was expecting a fistulotomy ,
Which I couldn't understand and was going to question anyway as fistula passed over muscle .
Please please please ask every question you can I thought I had I didn't know abt this treatment it's literally just out of. Clinical trials in UK .
