Hi there. I had the LIS done last Thursday and today Saturday I had my first BM. It was a difficult BM as it was 3 days since last BM. Im sore and have pain. Difficulty walking moving and specially sitting. Hopefully I will have the normal BM on the coming days so that the incision heals faster. I cant even try nor attempt to even dab the area cause it too sore.

Congrats on having had the surgery, and I hope that each BM becomes easier as the days pass. There is always some pain from the incision site in the early days, but that should get better soon. I couldn't sit on anything but a couch for the first couple of weeks, and many others have experienced the same. Good luck, and I hope that you're reporting a full recovery very soon.

Hi Paine,
The first BM can be very painful but they do tend to get easier from here.
As for sitting I agree with CCC I didn't even try to actually sit for the first two weeks then only in small doses I'm now nearly 3 moths oust LIS and I can sit for a few hours quite happily now.
I would advise lots of sitz baths and if you can polysporin cream really seemed to help my swelling at the incision site
Trust me it really does get better now you have had the op

Thanks much CCC & MPB. While recovering i think i burned my skin near anus due to hot baths or not. It hurts and stings a lot. What can i apply to this?

Hi,
Maybe you haven't burnt it maybe it's just really sore going on surgery. You could try coconut oil and also something everyone knows that I love....colodial silver as both of these are very soothing also try nappy rash cream that's good if you have burnt it hun

How are things going for you paine? I hope you are feeling a bit better? I've heard LIS can take a while for some people.

Hi LM. I am still having pain though less often now and can be taken care of ibuprofen. Post surgery I developed scrapes near my anus looked like burned skin and giving me chilling pains aside from the pain from incision area. Its now healing slowly and feels tender most of the time. That is one thing thats keeping me from walking sitting and standing. Its rubbing together and becoming raw once again. I read about your appointment and feel sorry about it. I hope for your continued healing. Im holding on.

Im 2 weeks post op today and still cannot tolerate standing up. It seems i am getting all kinds of weird sensations on my anus and i feel pressure soreness and pain.
I can however tolerate sitting for a while on soft surface for max 15 mins.
All i do is lay on bed all day and im growing frustrated.
Please anyone advice is badly needed.
