Best zinc ointment/cream?

Postby William2 » 02 Apr 2017, 05:18

I've seen (and had) recommendations for various zinc-based ointments and creams on this forum. Things like calmoseptine, zincofax, and sudocrem. I'm trying to pick one to get. What's the best choice? Is there one that is good for lubricating the area down there, because I seem to be irritating things by moving around? What should I avoid?

1/17 - present: fissure/hemms, healed but pain remained, 3 CRSs (nifedipine, infrared coag) were no help, cold dilating >= 1" helped but still have pain when sitting

Sudocrem might be all right, calmoseptine didn't do anything for me except irritate, zincofax I haven't tried. In general I think GTN ointment offers the fewest problems.

I ended up buying Honest Diaper Rash cream because it seemed to have less potentially irritating chemicals in it.

Below is a great list of all of the diaper rash creams with active and inactive ingredients listed. You can even search them!
