Any of you do best with Bristol 6-7?

Postby msimon » 18 Aug 2014, 15:29

I may be unique in that I have had a botched botox job in my pelvic floor and I seem to only be able to pass Bristol 6-7 BMs completely. Otherwise, I just fee like I have to go all day and can't empty. Arg.

Anyway, if it doesn't hurt when it comes out (anything more solid does) that means this works for me right? It kinda burns after but not for too long, unlike the other which will leave me in pain the rest of the day...

:thankyou:

How are you doing these days?

I seem to do better with Bristol 4-5. Unfortunately, I've gravitated to a 6 lately. It doesn't seem to hurt to go, but I am a tiny bit sore afterwards and it's probably affecting my hemmy. I'm thinking of weaning off of the stool softeners slowly, since my current diet seems to be responsible for the increased softness.
8/09 - 12/10: fissure, cured by LIS/fissurectomy
1/17 - present: fissure/hemms, healed but pain remained, 3 CRSs (nifedipine, infrared coag) were no help, cold dilating >= 1" helped but still have pain when sitting

I seem to do best with a mushy consistency, but no ragged edges just a pile of mushy stuff (sorry for tmi). I am not sure if that is considered 6 or 7. 7 in pictures looks like diarhhea. But 6 seems to have pieces. My best days are the mushy pile. I seem to be going back and forth between 4 and my version of 6. 4 seems to give me a lot of pain. Trying my best to avoid a 4 :(

I do too. Anything remotely formed even if it's soft hurts to pass.

After three days of switching to 50mg docusate sodium from 100mg, I finally was Bristol 4 instead of Bristol 6. Contrary to what I said earlier, I'm thinking that runnier may be better for me, as I don't have to make any effort to go.

I have been going mostly 4 and ending with a 6. I still can't make up my mind, if 4 or 6 is good. But for the last 2 days I am not stretching as much with 4. But when I end with 6 there is a bunch of gas. I feel a bit of burning sensation on passing the last portion. Not much of pain or burning with the 4. I am almost beginning to change my mind that 4 might be better. Can't make up my mind

So I have made up my mind now. I had 2 BMs which were mostly 6 and the after pain is there only for 15 to 30 minutes. So I certainly prefer 6s. The problem is how to consistently achieve them.
