Hi guys, my doctor has asked me to take 2 TSP Cremafin( 85% MOM) twice in a day, once in the am and once before sleeping. After reading the earlier posts, was wondering if the dosage is too much for now.....is it advisable to use a combination of sodium docusate and MOM if not??????

Hmm, it depends. How is your body handling it? I know when I first took the full dose (4 TSP-either in one dose or broken up) I was pooping water. So I had to scale back and I just did half a dose to start and that seemed to be the right amount for me. I don't see any harm in combining it with docusate if you need to. I take miralax and MOM. The docusate for me didn't seem to do anything but once you find the right combo just stick with that!

When I had fissure One TSP midday and one TSP before the bed was enough for me. I combined it with 1 TBSP of mineral oil .

HurtButt- Don't make the same mistake I did and way over do it with MOM the first time - or you'll be up all nite on the seat .
I'de start with one tblspn a day to start with .

i take 1 tablespoon each night. for months i was also using stool softeners (up to 3 a day). i don't think there's a problem combining the 2, but recently i've found things stay just as soft w/ only the MOM

I would take 1 tablespoon too. that seems to be the consensus. Plus, at this low doseage the likelihood of side effects is low.
