Blood

Postby hurtinend » 04 Feb 2018, 20:03

I've been in pain on and off for years. Last 3 months I'm in the worst pain ever. For the first time I see blood in stool. Can't sleep due to pain.

Months to get referral to specialist.

What do I do?

I think that if you mention the blood, you might be referred sooner. Can you call your GP on Monday? Hopefully, he can get you in quickly.

okay I'll call my GP and tell them. I was going to go to emergency but I'm quite sure they wouldn't do much.

Oh dear, I am so sorry, this is insane. I would suggest for you to order a home kit for food intolerance test. You prick your finger, provide a few drops of blood on a piece of paper, sent it to the lab and they will let you know if you body produce antibodies and to what degree for different foods. Even if you dont have obvious reactions like strong allergies that doesn't mean that your body can tolerate all foods. If your body shows moderate to severe reaction then unknowingly by you your body produces inflammation. Many people after avoiding the foods their body reacts to, they get better within weeks. I did my test and it turned out that I have severe reaction by eggs and beans. Moderate to dairy, avocado, beets, garlic, vanilla. Also get tested for candida, because this can affect the area down there as well. Get tested for low stomach acid, SIBO, because this can create millions of other digestive issues that by extension affect the end part. Take valerian drops in your tea to relax you.

Also, please try self dialation, although it will hurt for a while, but you already have pain, so try. My proctologist said that the muscles will never go back to stretchi relaxed state if there is no physical therapy down there. The muscles will remain in a locked state and most BMs that stretch even the slightest will cause spasms. He said we need to treat the muscles first and not the fissures
Many people take laxatives, but watery stools have acid which keeps burning the skin. He advises phsyllium husk to bulk up and soften the stool. However, if you eat hardening food like dairy, grains, nuts, rice, chocolate, sugar, etc the stool will no lo get be soft, just hard and bulky, which is trouble. Try finger dialating with lubricant each day after the spasms diminish a little. Keep you finger in without moving it for 10 minutes. After a week, start moving it gently around.

thanks for this. I think you are right, my muscles are trapped in spasm mode.

Where do you order the kit for food intolerance?
Who would test for SIBO?

The SIBO test you GP should be able to perform. Ask him about hydrogen test. You can search online too for more info. I am in the states, so I ordered my blood test through meridian valley labs. But there are many labs offering this service , check online and their prices. Mine was about $350 FOR 190 foods and spices. You can probably find cheaper. They can also test your urine for candida, but if you have insurance, ask your doctor if they can order all these tests for you at a lower cost.
