Can you believe it's one city in the UK I have never visited? !! Shame on me - I must go because I have heard amazing reports....Are you originally from the UK yourself?
Parts of Scotland and Cornwall I find stunning too.

Two trips to the UK (New Bedford, Bedford, Lower Darwin, Lockerbie, Wales, and, of course, London).
Five trips now to Australia (Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, and Woomera).
Two trips to Canada (Quebec City).
Five trips to Tokyo.
Uncountable trips around the U.S.
All for work but the wife has distant cousins in the UK and Australia.
'Course I think that last 14 hour flight from LAX to Melbourne was the start of this miserable AF business.

I forgot, this is top places and why.
One of my very best was last October - the drive along Nebraska Highway 2 from Grand Island to Alliance and then north through the Black Hills. It's wonderful road, no traffic, and big sky through the empty Nebraska sand hills.
'Course it's wonderful to me (maybe no one else) because I grew up in the area and it still pulls at my heartstrings.

An Irish bar in Jordan. The only thing Irish about it was the flag pinned to the wall.

The "Commode" three weeks ago pushed a solid hard rock out of me, could have re-torn. :p

But seriously probably Times Square dealing with the rat race.

So many amazing places in the world. If I hadn't met and married an American, I would have missed so much natural beauty. Britain has stunningly beautiful places too, but there is nothing to beat Southern Utah, to my mind. Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, Arches, Capitol Reef (my favourite), the eerie beauty of the desert. The smell of the desert after rain. The stars at night, so bright and near you feel as though you could touch them.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

I would love to visit Africa and see the desert there. I hope you get to go back there one day, Savaici.
